Ground Zero festival 2009 - The the party rapport! Hey there!
Me (Thony Ekström) was on GZF 2009.
And i had my cam with me, did record some and it ended up in 6 clips. The Festival was awesome, my 2nd big festival i been on in Holland, the first party was in 2005 and a Q-Dance event you may know as In Qontrol 2012. Anyway this time i had the chance to come down to holland a little bit earlier and spend some day with my good netfriend that now turned into be a real friend Mike Drama himself. A friendly a little bit crazy dutch DJ in the techno/hardtechno styles, also producer and labelowner of MTR.
We did also sit down and produced on a track togehter, he did most of the work and i came up with ideas and some changes and so on. who knows, perhaps its gonna be something or not.
If the tune will be ready, it perhaps can been seen on my or mike myspace.
Was also able to do a interview with him, but haha of course we did not take the time for it unfortunely. But i will get a interwiew instead thru mail in near future just hold on.
He was also at the lineup for GZF and also why i wanted to come down to Holland, see/meet him and the festival was a perfect ending on a vacition i got.
Enough talking about him then, stay tuned for the interwiew. And hopefully i will re-book him for a special hardtechno event in sweden later on, so stay tuned fore that info aswell at http://www.wlmevents.com site.
The festival then, it was massive, big location it was on Busloo, never been there o seeing it, so it was cool place for sure.
Could write a big and long text of every floor, but i did mostly go threw the festival and checkd it only.
Then i ended up at the Djax area, it was nice lineup there so i decided to stick around there the whole night, of course i was most into see mike drma live for the first time at a party.
He did a awesome set and also tryed to spice the atmo up by put a horn out and press it,people seem to like it but di not reacted that much that both me and he wanted i think.
Mike is a real entertainer, thats for sure.
About the other Djs, i did enjoy Sven Wittekind & Frank Kvittas set much. Nice music and nice atmosphere in the crowd. About the others, theywere good and all, but i dont have naything more to say tho.
Also want to thank some of Mikes friends that drove me to shipohl Airport after the last Dj ended at Djax floor.
Seem to be nice and humoristic people atleast, just see the last clip on youtube and the bold guy in shorts and a shirt, haha dance so cool.
But another thing i want to take up, was the drug issue, in sweden we dont like hard drugs more then alkohol, that atleast legal here so to speak.
At the festival i saw people eat pills and took some coke as it was no big deal. i was allmost i chock, i of course did know how it could be, but not like this tho.
hmmm anyway in Sweden we dont smoke either since it aslso is illigal, i glade for that, it smells not good at all. I dont judge anyone, not my thing to be moral about.
just saying how it was there, and how i experiance it.
Anyway not sure what more i can say here. could write half of a book on the whole trip down there, but wont do it!
